Join Swindon Opera Collective (SOC) in their first public production of La Bohéme, an opera in four acts by Giaccomo Puccini. Join lovers Mimi and Rodolfo as they and their comrades experience the entire breadth of human emotion in as they face the harsh realities of poverty in Paris’ cultural quarter in 1830. Based on ‘Scénes de la vie de Bohéme’ by Henri Murger.
SOC is a community arts initiative aiming to create sustainable creative opportunities in the borough, spear-headed by Swindon-born David Phillips. The principal cast and staff of the show all live within or have strong ties to Swindon. This performance will include a large, free-to-access community chorus and hopes to create further opportunities for creative and educational involvement.
Be sure to have your tickets to witness this landmark cultural event, the likes of which Swindon has never seen before!
